Homeless in the Havens
About
Havens Community Hub and its projects and legacy charities have strived to meet unmeet community need across the Lewes District.
Whether tackling food insecurity or transport poverty, we have supported people classed as homeless.
Homelessness can take many forms including those hidden in insecure, temporary or emergency accomodation.
In building relationships with other support providers we realised there was a gap in on the ground support and coordinated response to rough sleeping and homelessness.

Havens Community Hub offers a supported food session in our community Cafe- Havens Connections Cafe, at the Hillcrest Community Centre, Newhaven. Sessions run monday-friday 9am-10:30am and offer a free breakfast. At these sessions visitors can receive practical support and request powerbanks, simcards with free data and calls and emergency items from our wishlist. They can also be assisted to connect with other support services.
We act as a catalyst and fully support a wrap around care ethos for those who are homeless and rough sleeping in the Havens Community.
